Creative writing in foreign language lessons: Description
Creative writing stimulates other areas of emotional learning in the brain. Away from struggles with grammar and sentence structure, learners experience how they can successfully express themselves creatively in the difficult new language with properly guided creative writing. In this way, the courage to speak and write is discovered and learners gain new motivation.In this workshop, teachers will learn how to incorporate creative writing into their lessons in order to carry out learner-centred, motivation-boosting activities. The fear of the creative work process is overcome in a structured way, new ideas are created and exchanged together. At the end, participants will have the necessary knowledge and skills to implement creative writing in their own lessons.
- Discover and try out creative writing methods at levels A1 to C1
- Get to know different techniques for overcoming writer's block and experience the creative process yourself in order to be able to accompany learners in it
- From text to stage: performance workshop with a slam poet + visit to a poetry slam show
- Develop their own concepts for using the creative writing methods they have learnt in their own teaching context

In the new EU education programme ERASMUS+ you can apply for grants for this training course - travel costs, accommodation, meals and course fees are funded.
