The DTZ consists of a written and an oral examination. The written exam lasts 100 minutes and contains listening, reading and writing tasks. The oral exam lasts approx. 15 minutes. You will receive a certificate that certifies your overall language skills at level B1 or A2. If your language skills are still below level A2, you will not receive a certificate, but only a notification of your result. In order to achieve language level B1, you must achieve level B1 in the speaking part of the test and in at least one of the other two parts of the test (listening/reading or writing).

The IIK is an approved BAMF test center for the DTZ and a g.a.s.t test center.
The DTZ is written at the end of the language part of an integration course.
In order to serve as proof of language proficiency for naturalization, language level B1 must be achieved in all parts.
To register for the DTZ, you need an admission/commitment to the integration course and must complete at least 100 teaching units of the integration course before you are allowed to take the DTZ.

Participants in the integration courses are financed by the BAMF and do not have to register/pay separately here.

We offer general integration courses up to language level B1, youth integration courses for young people (under 27), and intensive courses with a particularly fast learning pace. In professional language courses (B2/C1/C2) you will expand your language skills that you need for your job and everyday life in Germany. Special professional language courses are aimed at specific professional groups.
All these courses are supported by public funds. Please refer to the course descriptions to find out how high your own contribution is. Our language courses meet the highest standards and are certified by the "Gütesiegelverbund Weiterbildung".
